When a recommendation doesn't fit

Why some recommendations may not apply to your hotel and what to do with them.

MARA checks every recommendation before showing it to you. Still, there are situations where a recommendation doesn't fit your hotel or isn't something you can change.

The information already exists

Sometimes the information is there, but AI platforms didn't find it, for example a listing on a website that isn't shown on the page AI platforms read. Dismiss the recommendation if you're sure the information is correct and complete.

You can't edit the information yourself

Some platforms limit what hotels can change. For example, the description text on Booking.com is generated by Booking.com and can't be edited freely. In these cases, check whether the platform offers another way, such as facility checkboxes, or dismiss the recommendation.

The result depends on factors you can't influence

For some prompts, AI platforms rely on pages sorted by criteria you can't change. Booking.com pages listing hotels near a landmark, for example, are sorted by distance. If your hotel is further away, these prompts are hard to win, whatever you do.

It doesn't fit your business

If a recommendation targets guests or topics that don't matter to you, dismiss it. You can also remove the related prompts so future recommendations focus on what matters to you.

Something looks wrong?

If a recommendation is clearly incorrect, please let us know via chat. This helps us improve recommendations for everyone.
