Sources: which pages AI platforms read

See which websites and individual pages AI platforms base their recommendations on.

Before AI platforms recommend a hotel, they search the web and read sources. The Sources view shows you which websites and pages these are. This is often the most revealing part of the AI Visibility Tracker: it shows what AI platforms base their recommendations on.

What you'll find

  • Most cited domains: the websites read most often for your prompts, such as Booking.com, Google, TripAdvisor or your own website.

  • Most cited pages: the individual pages read most often, for example a specific travel guide article or a competitor's landing page.

  • Source types: sources grouped by type, such as booking sites, review sites, hotel websites, travel guides and blogs, directories and tourism websites.

You can filter sources by AI platform and by prompt type. You'll also find the most cited domains and pages for each prompt in the Prompts & Chats view.

How to read your sources

  • A page that's read often and mentions your hotel supports your visibility.

  • A page that's read often but doesn't mention your hotel shows where AI platforms find your competitors but not you.

  • Your own pages: search for your own website to see which of your pages are read, and for which prompts.

Why sources differ between platforms

Each AI platform uses its own web search and prefers different types of sources. Filter by platform to see what each one relies on for your prompts.
