Analytics Overview

Understand your guest feedback with MARA Analytics

MARA helps you turn guest reviews into actionable insights. Instead of manually reading hundreds of reviews, you can monitor performance, identify recurring issues, compare properties, and generate AI-powered reports in just a few clicks.

The Analytics are available on both property and group level and include:

  • Group Overview: KPIs and category performance (sentiment analytics) on group level

  • Property Overview: KPIs on property level, including comp-set comparison

  • Review Insights: Property-specific topics, category performance and impact analysis

  • Ask reviews anything: AI review chat to get summaries of reviews/issue clusters and answer qualitative questions.

  • Competitor Analytics (add-on feature): Sentiment analytics for comp set

  • AI Research Assistant (add-on feature): Create and schedule tasks to get custom reports and analyses (scheduled or on demand).

  • Reports: Excel Exports on account and property level, Review Export

  • MARA API: To pull your quantitative and qualitative review analytics from MARA and analyze or display them in your internal dashboards or BI Tool.

Whether you're managing a single hotel or an entire portfolio, Analytics helps you answer questions like:

  • Which topics have the biggest impact on guest satisfaction?

  • Which issues occur most frequently?

  • How is each property performing over time?

  • Which hotels require immediate attention?

  • How do we compare against competitors?

Filters and controls (available across the analytics screens)

At the top of the analytics screens you can adjust:

  • Analysis period - the timeframe you want to analyze; everything below updates to it.

  • Comparison period - drives the change indicators. Compare against the previous period, the previous month, or the same period last year.

  • Level / dimension - view data on property level (default) or aggregated by a custom dimension such as region or brand (see Analytics Dimensions).

  • Data source - by default analytics include both reviews and survey feedback. Switch this to review-only if you want to exclude survey responses.

  • Platform & rating filters - narrow down to specific platforms or star ratings.

  • Share view - copies the exact filtered view (all filters applied) so you can send a colleague the same screen without re-describing the settings.
