How to integrate MARA with MEWS

Simply activate the MARA x MEWS Integration in your MEWS Marketplace.

You can view the status of your integration in you MARA Accout Settings.

Once actived, MARA matches your Booking and Expedia reviews, as well as your internal surveys with your MEWS guest profiles to enrich data, both in MARA and in MEWS.

Enabled Features

Review Data & Guest Preferences in MEWS

Transform every returning guest check-in into a tailored experience. MARA enriches your guest profiles with guest preferences derived from reviews and guest surveys.

Here's how it works:

  • Automatic guest profile updates: When a guest leaves a review or survey response, MARA links it to their MEWS profile.

  • Smart Tips at Check-In: MEWS 'Smart Tip' displays a summary of guest preferences the moment they arrive (e.g., Guest does not like hard pillows, likes to use the spa area, places great value on cleanliness).

    Instead of digging through past notes or relying on memory, our system now automatically flags our guests preferrences at their next check-in. Now, our front desk team gets instant, actionable insights, right when they need them.

  • Complaint guest tags: MARA automatically adds tag 'complaint guest' for guests who left a negative review in the past.

What makes this approach special is that it's completely seamless. No extra steps for the guest. No extra work for our staff. Just smarter, more intuitive service that feels effortless.

What you can do with it in MEWS:

  1. Upsell guests at check-in: Guests that have enjoyed the spa during their previous visit will be offered special treatments at arrival.

  2. Better WiFi placement: Guests who flagged weak WiFi on a certain floor are automatically given a room with stronger signal on their next visit.

  3. Tailored recommendations:A guest who previously mentioned they love fine dining is given restaurant recommendations at check-in.

  4. Small comforts, big impact: Guests who find your pillows too firm are provided a softer alternative at arrival, no request needed.

Enriched Data & Analytics in MARA

MARA also enriches reviews with PMS data to give you more context about a guest's stay and allow for deeper analytics. For all matched reviews, MARA shows additional reservation data in your inbox:

  • Room Number

  • Rate

  • Room Type

  • Duration of Stay

Additional Analytics Level:

Gain deeper insights into your property with more detailed analysis based on room or rate information. Identify which rooms or rates receive the best and worst ratings - and understand the reasons behind them. Check your Property Overview Screen or click on a topic in your Review Insights for room-level analytics.

Ticketing Tools: Automated service tickets

MARA automatically generates maintenance and housekeeping tickets (e.g., "A/C broken in room 105"). These can be viewed in the Inbox and easily retrieved via our API and integrated directly into your existing ticketing system.
